I am usually good at appearing a 'stiff upper lipped' Englishman, not liking to show emotion and boringly reserved - you could say underwhelmed. Today I'm not, my cheekbones have risen so much my face aches, and I can't get this ridiculous grin off my totally overwhelmed face. My wife lived in the Bahamas for five years, so was interested in the 1665 from 'John Bull'. When she saw the watch itself, it is definitely the most excited she has been over a watch - now she's wearing it!

Jacek, the wonderful 6542 arrived, I've examined it, and it arrived exactly as described and illustrated and in perfect working order. I'm a very happy and gratified 6542 owner now! This is THE Rolex watch I have always wanted... One of the reasons is pretty arcane... My dad introduced me to ham radio as a kid in the late 1960s, and of course hams at that time integrated Greenwich Mean Time into everything they did. Although I'm no longer an active amateur radio guy anymore, I harbor fond memories of sitting alongside him while the squawks and regenerative howls of the short waves filled the air and irritated my mom. Now I'm approaching 50, and my refined tastes (wow, is that for better or worse?) include things like fine watches. But this one at least will always serve me as a connection to happy wondrous moments with my dad all those years ago. Thanks again, Jacek, for a very favorable transaction for such a marvelous piece.
